Well it's August now and everyone is gearing up for another exciting and fun filled fall season of soccer. In case you didn't know exactly how the micro / super program is run here is a little information. We have practice and games every Saturday beginning September 8th and ending October 27th. 9:00 AM for Micro and 10:30AM for Super. For the first half hour the coaches do some drills and instruction. After that the micro players play about a 20 minute game (four five minute quarters). The super players play for about 28 minutes (four seven minute quarters).
At this age we do not practice during the week. When they reach the U-8 level they will begin to practice during the week.
We have a coaches meeting scheduled for August 10th. You should hear from a coach by August 19th.
I hope everyone has a great season. Keep in mind the kids are out there to have a great time. Parents naturally get excited when their kids a playing a "competitive" sport, but let's all remember that these are young kids that we want to see have a great experience with soccer. Please only ENCOURAGE your kids to have fun. Keep it VERY POSITIVE!
Our coaches are all volunteers and most have very little experience with any form of coaching. Let's help them in any way we can to have a great experience too!
