When and where are practices?
Practices may begin the first week of August. Teams usually practice one hour twice a week in the late afternoon or early evening. We use the fields in the Everett School District. The coach of the team chooses location and time in order by lottery at the coaches meeting.
How much does it cost?
Our rates are dependent on when you register and for what age bracket.
What does my registration fee cover?
Registration fees pay for field equipment, including goals, nets, game balls, player insurance, referees, administration costs, and our registration fees to Washington State Youth Soccer.
I would like my son/daughter to play on their friend's team.
We accept "buddy requests" and try hard to accommodate these requests. Your best chance of getting a buddy request is to register before May 31. After May 31, it is the Registrar's job to place additional players on teams with the shortest roster. It may very well be that your child's friend's team has space, but the Registrar needs to place the next player on a team with less players.
My child would like to switch teams.
Once a child has been placed on a team, they are on the same team from year to year. A request to transfer to a different team within the Everett Youth Soccer Club needs to be in writing with the reasons for the request. We accept e-mail requests for transfers. We just need a record for our files. Requests for transfers are almost always honored.
Do you accept beginning soccer players?
Absolutely!
What is recreational soccer?
Recreational soccer is soccer for fun. Recreational soccer is divided between modified soccer and recreational soccer. Modified or "mod" simply means the rules, size of the field, and playing times are modified to accommodate players under the age of 10. Both mod and recreational soccer is played in the fall for ten weeks.
