It is the mission of all EYSC coaches to provide a safe, instructive and fun environment for all players, regardless of skill level. It is encouraged that all coaches strive to learn more about the important role they play in a child's development in soccer.

NCYSA 2007 PLAY RULES HANDBOOK

All coaches will be receiving a copy of the 2007 handbook once schedules are made available (usually end of August), but an electronic version of the 2006 playing rules handbook is available on the NCYSA website:

http://www.ncyouthsoccer.com/pdfs/NCYSAPlayingRules2006.pdf

There should not be major changes to this information for the 2007 version. All coaches are expected to read the handbook and be familiar with the requirements and rules for their specific age group.

EYSC COACHING TRAINING

EYSC is committed to your continued coaching development and we ask that you take the time to attend coaching clinics in order to further strengthen and benefit the training of EYSC players, as well as make your time coaching more worthwhile and beneficial. EYSC will cover the costs of the successful completion of coaching clinics sponsored by Washington State Youth Soccer Association (up to D level license).

Depending on your teams and age groups, we ask that all coaches work to obtain WSYSA coaching certification appropriate to the age level that you will be coaching. If you already have this certification - congratulations! Please see the following link for a list of WSYSA sponsored clinics and contact information:

We are setting up some additional EYSC sponsored coaching clinics here in the Everett area, to increase your opportunities for learning and growth. These are free for EYSC coaches and we ask that you attend these sessions.

We ask that coaches come prepared to participate on the field as appropriate.

Byte Size Coaching

District One is again paying the membership fees to Tony Waiters' Bytesized Coaching.  They have a section for mod (U-10 and below) and 11-a-side players focusing on tactical, technical or a combination of both.  For the younger ages, Tony even creates practice sessions for you.  This is a fantastic resource for you as a coach and it's FREE!

You can go directly to http://www.bytesizecoaching.com/

Use "ncysa" as the username and "district1" as the password.
